I’ve been keeping her a couple of times a week here lately. I wish I didn’t have to take her back. She is my absolute dream baby/child. She goes to bed in a decent mood, considering how tired she must be. She wakes up in a happy mood, just like me, her wannabe Mommy.
My alarm went off at 4:52 am and I’m off to the kitchen to make the coffee and put the kettle on for oatmeal. I look into our bedroom and there she is, wide awake and already smiling. I go to fix her morning bottle — a mixture of rice cereal and formula. Then I go get her bouncy chair from the living room so she can be with me in the kitchen while I start some laundry and stuff.
Hubby is soon up and doing his morning bathroom ritual, then he lies back in bed with Dovely leaning back into his upbent legs, a perfect morning lounge seat for her. He’s chatting, flirting, and cooing with her while Emma looks on, too.
Soon we’re having coffee on the bed while I feed Dovely her bottle. Our bowls of oatmeal are cooling on our night stands. The morning news is on and Lee Cruse is giving us a morning tour of 2 Chicks & Co. Dovely is back in her bouncy seat on the bed while I set up our meds and vitamins in their little cases for the coming week.
After I share some oatmeal with her I clean her up, put on a fresh diaper, and dress Dovely for her return to her FM. She’ll be going to daycare today, too.
She reminds me so much of my DS when he was a baby — except for the fact at her age (6 months) he already had 6 teeth, was sitting up, crawling (walking 6 weeks later) and doing some talking already. I always say I never had a baby because I gave birth to a toddler! Dovely barely has two teeth. She talks, coos, and sings, but I don’t know what she is saying. I can tell she is quite happy though.
I ordered her this today!
I wish we could take her to Dallas with us…
