So I’m sorta on vay-cay…

… and I’m doing some work from home.  It’s a working vacation.  Never thought I’d be one to use that term…

My main goal is to get my son’s room ready for him.  I want it ready before he arrives so that he’ll know we’re just as committed to supporting him while he goes to college and is working toward his future as he is.  I can’t help it.  I want to see my son in college (and then in Pharmacy School).  I want to be a part of him sticking to the plan he has for his future.

I had a plan long ago well before I was his age and I didn’t see it through.  I don’t feel badly about it because I wouldn’t have my son, this child of mine, if I had stuck to my plan.  Everything evens out in the long run. 

I’m really going to be doing some heavy purging this next couple of days.  We have a lot of stuff to get rid of and I’m finally doing it.  Some of this is really good stuff so I’m contacting people I know to see if they want these things first…

I know — you’re wishing you lived closer to me, aren’t you!
