is nearly back to herself!
We got her a new stuffed squeakit (the pink one) at Kroger’s yesterday for the sole expectation of her gutting it ASAP, and therefor cheering her up — but we really didn’t need to!
She was already waiting for us at the door when we pulled up in the drive way. Bouncing and bouncing in that "Tigger" way of hers! And when she saw her new toy of destruction? OMG! I couldn’t get the labels off quick enough! Bouncing and jumping — and then a sharp "hurry it up, would you" bark!
When I came home Monday (her first day by herself) she had gotten one bandage off, but all the stitches were still in tact. Over night she gotten the other bandage off. I was worried when we would get home we’d find she would have worked all her stitches out, but all were still in tact and there was BOUNCING!
Hubby and I took her for a little walk to the neighborhood Chevron (we needed some gas for the lawn mower) and Minnie carried the squeakit all the way there and back. I kept expecting her to drop it, but she didn’t. Not even to bark at anyone!
Not even when I picked her up to carry her in the store to pay for the gas. One old guy kept teasing her that he was going to take the squeakit from her mouth and she was all like "I don’t even see you!"
We should have squeakits on hand for all our outings!
