I am at my Dad's and we're doing stuff around his house (he's old, you know) (compared to me) (even though people 20/30 years younger than me think I'm old) (f*#% them).

It's just stuff he needs help with or stuff he doesn't feel like doing anymore.

I told him it's funny I'm here helping him do stuff when his house is in better shape than mine.  He raised his eyebrows and then I explained how I was still in the process of getting my house the way I want it (since the big giant kid moved out) and I pretty much do things as I feel like it.

He said today, "You're never gonna finish your house, are you."

I disagreed, because there has been a lot of progress (which makes me feel better about how much I still have left to do) but unless you'd been living with me for the past few years you wouldn't know how much better things are now.

I'm using his computer most of the time because he's using DSL and having two computers up really slows it down.  It is so slow compared to our broadband at home, but Dad just got his first computer and believe me — DSL is fast enough 80% of the time.

I haven't been working at getting my archives back up.  They'll be there when I'm ready to tackle that task again.  It won't be too much longer before I feel like messing with them.  Okay, maybe another month.

I miss my dogs all day, but don't start missing my husband till it's about time for him to be coming home from work.  I'm used to him being gone during the day.

He's taking the next week off (when I'll be back home) to help me with some stuff and to chill.

It's like spring here, although they say we're in for some snow showers this weekend.  I'm not counting on any snow (at least I'm trying not to) because the lack of snow this winter has been depressing enough.

…on my hosting server are the ɯoɔ˙ɹǝƃƃolquǝʞoʇ archives going back to January 2003.  I can see them, I'm just having trouble with how to get them back where they belong.

Remember a post way back when I wrote about not wanting to update my blog software because every time I do it screws with my blog.

I wasn't kidding.

I'll figure it all out in time, but I've been messing at the problem for a week now and I'm just tired of reading code, etc.

At least I got ɯoɔ˙ɹǝƃƃolquǝʞoʇ up and running and I also discovered and fixed the problem that was making my new posts look all wonky.

There was some other stuff I'd been wanting to post, but I forgetted it.

You know what I mean.
