And we’re still eating the left overs, including pie. Ummm. Pie.
In other news:
I was able to upgrade my phone to one with a 5 mega pixel camera. Woot! But it hasn’t arrived yet. Dern. I was hoping to play with it over the holiday weekend.
It’s pink. I know. But it was the only model they offered for my upgrade with that camera. I had to have it. Still, it’s all good. The carrying case I got for my MacBook is pink, too. They didn’t offer green or yellow in the size I needed, but the pink looks good with my backpack and the phone is really only pink on the backside!
I’m really excited about the new camera phone! It’s taking forever to arrive.
And yesterday? Yesterday I had hubby cut off my pony tail and it’s already packaged up and ready to go to Locks of Love! I should have taken a picture of it before I packaged it up. Just now my hair looks like I just cut off a pony tail — in the back where I can’t see it. So I don’t even care.

This morning I took the Lily puppy to our local Animal Shelter to have her spayed. While I was checking her in the clerk asked me if I’d like to have her micro-chipped today, too — it would only be $15 more. I told the clerk I was planning on using the balance left over from paying for the spay to make a donation (I always donate extra over the cost of any service rendered with them). So she tells me the Lexington Humane Society would much rather I get my dog micro-chipped than have a donation.
So Lily is going to be spayed and micro-chipped today — and I’ll be sending them in a donation later this month.
Please watch the video below. If you can’t adopt a pet from your local animal shelter think of sending them a little donation anyway. It will be much appreciated!
First I forgot to do our taxes. Then I did the big giant kid’s like just under the wire. I used a bit of comp time, taking Wednesday afternoon off, to accomplish that feat.
Thursday I get an email from Moveable Feast that they needed some drivers/delivery pholks badly. Hubby agreed to help me on this one — which made me feel better about having to say "no" when I was asked the time before.
After I picked hubby up from his office we had to gas up the car before we could go on to pick up our route. It was after six when we got there and after 8 when we finally got home. Whew!
There was one lady that was dissappointed we hadn’t come sooner. Her husband was gone to get them some supper because we were so late. "We eat at 5 o’clock," she told me.
I did my best to apologize. I can understand how when you’re too ill to cook for yourself a nice hot meal would be looked forward to. Still there was no way we could’ve gotten to her place at 5 — even if we’d picked up the meals at 4:30 — her house was like 6th from the last of the 23 meals we delivered.
I felt bad, but there was really nothing I could do but apologize for being so late.
Friday I got all nauseated at work. At first I thought it was the half a donut I had eaten a bit earlier (a workmate had brought us all some from Dunkin’ Donuts). [Hey! I'd been up since 5am and didn't get to work until 9:30 because Lily had to go to the vet for her check up and some more booster shots (she is now up to 16 lbs 8 oz) and it was cake.] I chose half a cake donut because it was cake and I don’t seem to have too much trouble eating cake.
A few minutes after I’d finished it I started feeling vomity. Yup. I lost the donut. But an hour later I was still feeling sick and the feeling was only intensifying with each passing moment. So I decided to go home and be all vomity feeling.
So I’m getting ready to leave and one of my workmates says something like, "maybe you’re just missing your puppy."
And I’m thinking wouldn’t that be awesome! To just call in to work and say I’m staying home today because I don’t wanna miss my puppy! That could be the best reason to stay home ever!
Except that I miss my puppies every day and I need my job to help feed those puppies.
*sigh*
At home I put on my jammers, fixed myself some hot tea, and settled into a chair in the living room with some plastic baggies by my side in case I had to vomit faster than I could get outta the chair. I watched the news for a bit and then I dozed off. I woke up a little over an hour later and the nausea was gone.
Looking at the clock I was thinking "I could go back to the office," but hey — I was already in my pajamas and everything. So I stayed home in my pajamas.
Saturday we took the Minikins and Lily to the dog park again. I was pissed at Gracie for running off on me two mornings in a row so we left her at home. Minnie and Lily made some new people friends, too:

These kiddos had come over to the dog park to play with the dogs instead of watching their sister play soccer in a field next to the dog park. I didn’t blame them. I’d rather play with dogs than watch a sporting event any day of the week. The thing was they really just wanted to hold and carry all the puppies they met that day. We indulged them for about 20 minutes before saying it was time for us to leave.
The Minikins and Lily seemed to benefit from being on their own without Gracie. Gracie and Lily are fast friends and wear each other out playing all over the house every day. The Minikins just seems to be annoyed with all the playing and will growl at them if their shenanigans get too close to her spot of the moment. Without Gracie about she seemed more into playing with Lily, especially at the park. So they had a bit of bonding.
Today is Sunday and I’ve laundry to do and a website to update. Oh, joy. Already I’ve been up for hours and really just want to take a nap.
But hey! I got new shoes! Red ones! I’ve not had red shoes since I was a kid with a pair of red Keds:

Ignore the cord hanging in the photo — it’s on my phone for easier carrying about when I don’t have any pockets. I got these fabulous red shoes from Earth, of course — but I found them on sale at Planet Shoes. They also come in a multi-colored style. I am so tempted…
Thursday I ordered myself a bunch of different red shirts to wear with my red shoes this spring and summer — a girl’s got to coordinate, don’t you know!
