Oh, CRAP!

…I was "terminated" Friday morning after my shift.

It was decided that after 3 weeks on the job that I would never be able to do eleven things well at a time and so it was best just to terminate me.  Apparently this last week of the horrible night shift was just to gain time for finding a replacement…

(On a side note —I can’t help but associate Arnold Schwarzenegger with any form of the word "terminate.")

I had a lot of fun those first three weeks, met some nice people, met some very interesting people I’d hoped to get to know better, met some crabby people, met a couple of just plain hateful pholks, but the job was fun!

*sigh*

So it’s back on the job hunt.  Crap.

Darling Hubby suggests I continue to try and get a position in one of the clinics.  It’s similar work, but with only a few things to have to do at one time and is truly aimed more at customer service than this last position purported to be.

I will continue to apply for those positions, especially since I already have the clothes!  Holy Crap!  I spent nearly $450 on clothes I only got to wear for 3 weeks of my 4 on the job.  Or was that 2 and a half weeks?

Dammit.

Proof of growth…

05/03/2010

The hair cut is growing out and look who’s back!

They're back...

They’re back!  I missed ‘em.  Did you?

This is the look I’m really going for, but I can’t remember how I did that hair cut:

token, too

But maybe I’ll go back to this look:

it's only me

Or this one (after the Locks of Love donation):

After...

One leads into the other, I guess…

I’ve just realized I’ve not got a neck in a lot of these pictures.  I blame PhotoBooth!

How’s about Devil May Care?

Devil May Care is the horse of my friend GG and this horse will Run for the Roses on Saturday.

She is pretty excited and I’m excited for her.

Now I said before that just because I live in Lexington, Kentucky doesn’t mean I have a horse or go to horse races.

I’ve lived in Kentucky for more than thirty years and only met GG in 2004.  So we don’t all know each other when it comes to living in The Horse Capital of the World

I think this may mean if you know me (or are one of my blogmates) that you are only one degree away from a Kentucky Derby contender.

Oh, hey!  Does this mean since I was in that movie with Gil Bellows who was in that movie with Tim Robbins and he was in that movie with Kevin Bacon that I am only three degrees away from Kevin Bacon?  Or that I’m only two degrees away from Morgan Freeman, Tim Robbins, and Stephen King?  Or that I’m only… Oh, hell.  This could go on forever!

So I will be tuning in at about 5pm to watch the race and root for GG, her darling hubby, and their horse, Devil May Care.

Just good to know I’m the only one out there with wayward scissors!

Okay, maybe the whole weekend?

Friday I didn’t feel good — or was that Thursday?

I can’t even remember now.

Yesterday I took an early nap.  Like three hours after I got up I went back to sleep for another hour and a half.

Today I took a nap for a little over an hour.  And about an hour after that?  I took another over two hours nap.

And I’m still tired.  It’s like all the napping has exhausted me.

In-activity = more in-activity.  Crap.

Could be worse.  COULD’A BEEN A MIGRAINE!

Unless napping is the new migraine…

Nah!

But the weirdest part of all?

Lily has been in the house almost all day.  Yeah, she took those naps with me!

The old one just stopped working.

I found a new one at Target.  It was a different kind.  Cheaper, too.   So I was sucked in.

I used the "short" attachment because it was what I had used on my old one.

When I screwed up the left I tried to make it right by making the right one look the same, but only messed it up worse.  So I tried to make the left one look similar.  And over and over…

At some point you realize you’ve totally screwed yourself and just give up all together.

What is mssing...

I recommend not buying one of these.

…was this huge canker sore — proceed to view at your own risk.  Gross factor is high…

The Great Canker Incident

Oh, yeah.  It’s a great one.  And to think I made it all by myself (but not intentionally)!

Because while I do suffer from panic attacks, which are a part of this disorder, my big reason for being afraid of becoming an agoraphobic is my need to be home.  As much as possible.

I don’t even like walking alone, which is part of why I am so upset about the problems I’ve been having with Lily and her own phobia of being afraid of everything that isn’t home.  O. M. G.  My poor dog has it soooooo bad.

And part of the reason I’ve not been to the gym in going on three weeks, I think.  I have to either let darling Hubby drop me off at the gym on his way to work and then walk home; or take him to work and then keep the car.  Did you know I hate driving?  Alone?

I need to get to the gym.  I need to get back on my bike.  I’m better on my bike about being alone than walking or driving…

I’m going to take Lily on another walk today with her new harness.  And maybe her gentle leader collar, too.

P.S.  Yesterday I went to the doctor and my A1c was 5.1.  Yes, I know it’s almost always awesome like that.  My blood pressure was 110/88.  88?  That’s high for me.  Get this, my pulse was barely over 50 — and she said she could hardly perceive it to count it.  Does this make sense to anyone?  So now I have to have a complete physical next Thursday.  And when I say complete?  I mean with with a pap smear and everything.

Crapola.
