Since November I've responded to like 1070 questions and asked a few of my own. So it's safe to say I've spent some time there. Yeah, I like it way better than Facebook or Twitter!
Well, anyway!
There are some Dooce members that ask some very personal and/or out there kinda questions (and pholks will answer them in great detail). I've even answered some because I thought my answer could help (or entertain) a few.
A few days ago I broke down and posted personal question of mine own — because I had to know:

Now the thing is, here lately? I have been eating peanut butter on toast almost every day because I mistakenly bought this peanut butter thinking it was just creamy peanut butter (as opposed to crunchy). And that stuff is good!.
But I'd been getting a whiff of that "peanut butter" odor several times over the past few years. No, I didn't say anything to my doctor. There were no other symptoms and I really thought it just had to be my imagination because who's vayjayjay smells like peanut butter?
Oh, mine!
I knew I could ask this question of my Doocemates because somebody in the the community always seems to have an answer for anything. Yes, we're a very diverse group!
Well. No one did. Oh, but there were others with odd vayjayjay scents, so I still felt in good company better.
Finally I decided to ask my Darling Husband if he'd ever noticed a peanut butter scent.
(I'll let you imagine on that for a second.)
And so…
…I was able to post this for all my Doocemates to enjoy:

Which prompted me to start working on a post about my questions and remarks from my doocemates last night — oh, but there's more!
Because this morning I was gifted with a kicker!
Dooce wrote a post featuring a different community question. It's a lovely post regarding her recent wedding anniversary. And I'm reading on and on, and then to her closing line…
My unemployment benefits arrived and I was able to catch up on EVERY BILL that we'd gotten behind on in since that fateful day back in June.
While there are some that think unemployment benefits may keep the unemployed from truly finding gainful employment – pshaw!
Well, it could be true for some, but not for me. I earnestly look for work — while at the same time hoping that I do not have to take some job that I'm gonna be miserable in because I'm needing the work.
I don't understand that mentality because the money I was making the short time I had gone back to work was more substantial than my unemployment benefit. We weren't just able to pay bills and take care of our needs. We were able to pay extra on bills (that whole we wanna get outta debt forever thingy) and still take care of our needs.
The past few weeks I've put off getting some Rx refills, taking TJ to the vet for his second check up and shots, and many other expenses that one puts off when they're trying to keep the household together.
Next week I'll be able to take care of all those things — but there won't be any extra to put on bills or to save for an emergency. We will just be getting by until I find gainful employment.
I would love to stay home and work on other things I'd rather be doing than working for someone else again, but I know that out there is the job that will make me happy to be out in the working world again. There is something out there that is perfect for me.
That is the job I hope for while I also apply for positions I could do for the money because we all know that's just how it is in the real world.
So I had my esophagram today. The radiologist that did the test said everything looked okay to him, but I still had to get a CD of the test to take my my lapband pholks.
Once I got home I wondered if I could see the test on my laptop, but it was software for a wintel, which was not a problem because that is what my darling hubby has on his desk across from mine!
Everything loaded up easily and I was able to see the different frames, etc., but then I couldn’t get the CD out. Oops. The computer just kept telling me that the ejection had failed.
So I copied the CD to my account on hubby’s computer and then made jpgs of all the frames and emailed them to myself so I could look at them on my Mac.
And you know where this is going? Right?
I had to do it. Really.
And hubby was able to get the CD out of his computer with no problem — of course!
I WENT TO THE GYM! I did 20 minutes on level fives (interval and random hill modes) on the treadmill and the bike, and then I did another 20 minutes in strength training.
I have missed the gym so much. My knees were really hurting and my energy levels have been in the toilet. I approached the Y about a reduced rate while I’m un-employed and they totally helped me out. Thanks, High Street YMCA!
Oh, I’m pretty sore after those workouts, but it’s productive sore, so I don’t even care.
After the gym I went to the grocery to purchase the stuff I needed for some baking this week and then I made chili!
I was hoping it would help me keep some soreness and charlie horses* at bay. While the massage was awesome ("Thank you, may I have another?") that part of my plan didn’t work —- unless I would be even more sore and would have had scream (LOUDER) inducing charlie horses — if I’d forgone the massage.
*Every description I find regarding charlie horses only refers to those in the calf or thigh. I get charlie horses everywhere all the time — feet, toes, SHINS, ankles, neck, back, arms, fingers — including the calves and thighs. They increase in severity when ever I (re)begin a fitness regimen and then level back down to normal after I get used to exercising again. I’ve had them all my life.
Yeah, sometimes it really sucks to be me.
I thought the ones in my shins were the worst until last night. UPPER INNER THIGH CHARLIE HORSE! I paced from the front and back of the house until it calmed down and I could go to bed (oh, yeah and I also took two muscle relaxers). And I took the first one before I went to bed. My doctor prescribed a muscle relaxer for me to take every night at bed time. It doesn’t stop them, but it does lessen the severity and occurrence.
After supper E came over to share a new tea she found and to have some of my chili. Her Bing Cherry, Almond, and Honey tea was yummy and she left me a few bags to enjoy on my own.
And today? Today I’m staying home to bake and do some more stuff about the house. Yeah, like I can even keep up with all of these:
And we’re still eating the left overs, including pie. Ummm. Pie.
In other news:
I was able to upgrade my phone to one with a 5 mega pixel camera. Woot! But it hasn’t arrived yet. Dern. I was hoping to play with it over the holiday weekend.
It’s pink. I know. But it was the only model they offered for my upgrade with that camera. I had to have it. Still, it’s all good. The carrying case I got for my MacBook is pink, too. They didn’t offer green or yellow in the size I needed, but the pink looks good with my backpack and the phone is really only pink on the backside!
I’m really excited about the new camera phone! It’s taking forever to arrive.
And yesterday? Yesterday I had hubby cut off my pony tail and it’s already packaged up and ready to go to Locks of Love! I should have taken a picture of it before I packaged it up. Just now my hair looks like I just cut off a pony tail — in the back where I can’t see it. So I don’t even care.
