…was bringing me the Minikins for company, but then he surprised me with Lily, too. I was surprised because I'd told him I'd come get Lily next week. I knew he wouldn't like traveling in the car with both dogs all by himself. And he knew better that I really wanted both girls with me.
Mini is fine. I'm here so she must be home.
Lily is very apprehensive about the whole house. She knows her Daddy man when out the front door so she keeps checking that door. But the house is two floors and the only way to the back yard is the walk out basement. The yard is not fenced either. It's leashes everywhere we go.
It's warmer here and the house is carpeted except for the bath and kitchen (Oh, and a small section of the family room does have vinyl — Mom called it our dance floor, but really it was a place to dry off, after coming in from the pool.) I had to do a bit of a rearrange of furniture in the front room to keep the dogs from jumping on the front windows every time someone would walk past the house; and to be able to open the front door while keeping the dogs inside.
If Daddy were still with me the dogs could not be here. Lily barks too much and well, you know, the yard…
I still miss my Daddy in his house.
