…is going to be my walking dog.
Lily doesn't like to leave the yard unless she's just going to the car. I really thought while she was with me at Dad's she get used to the idea of walking with the MommyLady, but the slightest thing would set her off on a turn and drag back to the house.
Mini is not trustworthy around strangers, especially men. She needs a muzzle to go out amongst them English. I can't do that to her.
Sterling is taking to our little walks just awesomely. Oh, she sits down from time to time, but mostly she keeps up, gets ahead, sits, and then as soon as we're side by side again, she starts over. And we're only going from our house to the corners and back. She's too young to go for a real walk, but I think we'll be there by next spring.
I've missed my walks with Emma. We'd go for a short one first thing in the morning, a longer one a few hours later, a medium one later in the day, and finally another short one before bed. Emma was an excellent walking dog.
It did wonders for the both of us.
Lily and Mini will be fine. Mini is the token lap dog. Lily is the loveable lump of a dog. And Sterling will be my walking dog.
It's all good.
