Darling Husband

…using my new MAC Book!

It arrived via Fed Ex to my office Friday.  I took it out of the box immediately!  My workmates joined me to watch the welcome screen and to ooh and ahh over my Mac book’s over all awesomeness.

At home, E came over to bask in its glory, and my darling hubby was soon home to do the initial set up.  I mighta coulda done it, but why take that pleasure from him.  He is an IT guy you, know!

It is just so beautiful!  I took mucho pictures with my cell phone and I hope to have them up on flickr tomorrow. 

I am just so tired!  I’ve been finishing with the moving of things from the old G4 hard drive to the external that is now hooked up to my Mac book.  I also began sorting through the slew of stuff I’ve managed to accumulate on that external HD — but only managed to chip at the iceburg of a chore.

*sigh*

I’m just so excited.  This is my very own first brand new computer.  Since my hubby is the computer geek we’ve always gotten new computers for him and then I would take the hand-me-downs.  I was glad to get them because it meant we didn’t have to fight over computer time! 

Hubby’s old Dell crashed the week before Thanksgiving and we got him a new one that week.  They had an awesome "black Friday" sale and we took full advantage of it, but for my new ‘puter we had to take out a loan.  Ouch.  I was surprised we even qualified in the wake of these economic times, but I had to try!  Like I’d posted earlier, the old girl was on her way out and I couldn’t handle dealing with another crash after hubby’s.

My new Adobe Web Suite will be arriving next week.  Oh what fun I’m going to have with the updated versions of all my old software, too!

I’ve decided to name my new Mac book Sylvia — because of the lovely silver color of her aluminum case.  It was E that moved me to name her!

No lie!  I’m pooped and on my way to bed.  I just couldn’t wait any longer to post using my new Mac!
