Those 30 years…

…just don't seem like 30 years.

Hubby had to work on our big day because new software was being pushed out to everyone on UK's medical campus and he had to be available to assist his department with any technical problems.

He came home with these:   —>

We didn't do anything big for our anniversary because of all the money we're spending on the exterior of the house this summer. 

The front steps were redone Friday morning and we got an estimate on some older woodwork trim repairs (that are beyond our abilities) around the house.

We still have to buy more paint and have a couple of other repairs done.  The home improvement budget is nearly kaput, you guys!

The weather has been really hot the past couple of weeks.  Too hot to be outside painting, etc.  We've also been lacking in any proper rainfall, too.  Lily and the Minikins go outside several times a day, but they almost immediately start scratching at the back door to come back inside.

We have the A/C on and it is cooler indoors, just not as cool as it usually is.  We've kept our thermostat at its regular setting to do our part on not adding to the strain of the utility company.  It bothers us most at night.  We like to sleep in a room on the cold side of 70.
