Whew! I am all…

…tuckered out.

Yesterday was a very big day as the Darling Husband and I went out amongst "them English."

Madelaine dun painted my husband, too:

The Artist and her Subject…

Mr. and Mrs. Keown

Lookit!  It's Mr. and MRS.  ɹǝƃƃolquǝʞoʇ!!!

Afterwards it was off to Target and we were looking for a black quilted bedspread (not a comforter) for the big giant kid.  Target had the what we needed, but it was $70.00!  I've been getting these lightweight quilted bedspreads for years (at Wal-Mart)(Ach!) but they are always under $30.  What's up with that, Target.  We left the store without the bedspread, but with plenty of other stuff we prolly didn't really need.  (Except for Mini's new chew toy.)

Two buck Chuck (okay, now it's five buck ChuckFinally we were on our way to Lexington's newly arrived Trader Joe's.

The store was not as large as I was expecting (which was terrific because I prefer the smaller grocery stores) so we weren't overly whelmed.  And it was so bright with natural light from the huge windows at the front of the store, but mostly because the shelves weren't those too tall ones piled with overstock that you see at other stores.

We bought plenty without overbuying — even some flowers!

We took our Trader Joe's loot home (mostly because we were wanting our Two Buck Chuck vino to make room temperature by after supper.  Two Buck Chuck is actually Five buck Chuck in Kentucky so maybe the wines should be called Nickle Buck Chuck?

And now it was time to go to Pedal Power!  Darling hubby was needing a new bike.  His custom Giant is nearly 25 years old and quite worn and the Giant we'd gotten in 'O4 was stolen from UK's campus a few months later.

Hubby was planning on getting a new Giant Cypress DX, but he also test road an Electra Townie — and he chose the Townie!  I was totally impressed with his choice (as he knew that my next bike is going to be a Townie, too!  I wouldn't have believed his checking out a Townie if I'd not been there to see it myself.

He got it all tricked out with fenders, lights, rear view mirror, carry rack, and a bell, too!  AND!  The style helmut I've been admiring for years:

somebody got a new bike today

Except that I will get this one, that one, or that one.

We had these as our main dish and they were awesome.  Just the right amount of everything with a fine delicate flavor.
